About me

If we can dream it, I can build it! If somebody says: "this is impossible" - is my first thought: "challenge accepted!" I work self-employed in the IT since more than 15 years.

My greatest strengths are web programming. Through many different projects, I have acquired a wide range of knowledge in recent years. Skills range from assembling hardware to Linux (web) server administration and maintenance to modern programming languages.

I'm a creative maker - I love the Raspberry Pi and playing around with sensors and close to hardware programming in Python. I'm a stress-resistant person and get the most out of my skills when I'm in love with a project.

I also sing, play guitar, bass and a bit piano. I own a professional recording studio and love to record and produce music. I'm familiar with video production too.

Adobe Software (Photoshop & Co) are standards to me. MS Office / OpenOffice as well. Typing skills (420 / min)

I'm on the web before it was there. Started a BBS with my telephone line when I was 15 years old. Google wasn't born yet. I'm into webdesign from 1997 until now...

Today's web data needs to be stored. MySQL is my first choice for this job since ever after. I'm experienced with storing / retrieving / importing and exporting data.

2020 - to me, responsive design is way more than a buzzword. It has become an industry standard. Any website must work on tablets and phones as well these days.

Loading Speed

Today, it is important that websites load fast. To achieve this, I use my knowledge about technologies like caching, server configuration and modern CDN services.
